Hello and Merry Christmas to all!
I am wiping a hard drive using Killdisk Pro. After the 1TB disk is cleared to zeros and the disk is refreshed I show 80h and unallocated. Ctrl+S shows zeros on both of them. Why is there both the 80hn and unallocated?

My next question is after I install Win7 Home Premium and I return to Killdisk it shows 80h,unallocated,system reserved (1:)Local disk (2:),unallocated. What and why are all these created when installing windows?

Thanks,
Butch

No I'm afraid not. But those are not suppose to be smiley faces they should be : )

Looks like this after win 7 install
80h
unallocated
system reserve (1 :)
local disk (2 :)
unallocated

looks like this after zeros written to disk

80h
unallocated

Probably for alignment. However without a screen shot its hard to help.

You can't do an Alt-Print Scrn or Shift-Print Scrn and paste that into paint and upload that on some free picture site?

No because killdisk pro is dos. Boots before windows loads. and its to late the disk is zeroed with 80h and allocated showing.
