Is there a way that i can set a keystroke in winxp to create a new mail message in outlook 2003? thanks.

Well, from within outlook. . . ctrl+n. . .

but this seems too easy so I'd assume you want to do it outside of the program itself. . . at which point I'd either tell you to look up the command line parameters on google for making a new shortcut, or code some html and use it as an active desktop (with a a href mailto etc etc to null) so as to just click on your desktop in a certain spot and do it.

Right click on your desktop and left click on new shotcut,
In the window that comes up type in mailto: and hit next.
That should be it. You can even type in the email address after mailto if you want this to be a shortcut to a specific email address.
