As for now I'm retiring my 4 year old HP keyboard because its been through intense abuse. I'm looking for a new replacement keyboard. What kind of keyboards are best recommended for general purpose and gaming? I'm not seeking any similar G15s or anything from logitech. I'm possibly considering a wireless keyboard to match my wireless mouse but may vary based with recommendations.

This is what's in my scope so far :

I picked up a DiNovo Edge awhile back when BB had them on closeout for $39..... great deal on an amazing keyboard.... if you like laptop style keys, which I do:)

If you want something cheap yet effective, get a wireless keyboard/mouse set from Microsoft. (For example, here's the Wireless Optical Desktop 700 set, which costs around $25 shipped.) But if you do a lot of gaming, then a wired keyboard/mouse set is preferred.

IMO, Microsoft and Logitech make the best keyboard/mouse sets around... but it's all of matter of personal taste.
