This keyboard sidewalk display is pretty snazzy, would’ve been cooler if the artist used WASD and the space bar but you can’t have everything. ;) You’ll need a translator to figure out what the page actually says, for all I know this guy is protesting keyboard repetitive stress injuries or something.

Dirty run thru babelfish:
The words will say me to return to the mainland to play, but will ride Shenzhen subway's opportunity quite to be few, because Shenzhen road surface will be extravagant, the little brother will walk slowly most from the important pass to the east gate makes merry. Because rushes to time early, therefore builds the subway toward the east gate (Laokay station), detects on the original platform to have many giant keyboard pressed keys to take the chair design, looks like is also quite special. However, puts these giant keyboard pressed key on the Luohu station to be most can only make the ornaments, because the Luohu station is a main terminal, always some vehicle waits on the platform to drive, the majority passengers choose sit and so on drive in the vehicle.

That's the MTR in Kowloon, which is downtown Hong Kong. Looks like those keys would just get in the way.

that page just says the writer usually walks on the surface when he goes to Shenzhen (from Hong Kong). once he was in hurry and took the subway, and noticed the keyboard keys. but the pic he took was in the terminal, where there are always trains waiting, so he thinks it's a waste.

those keys were there since the Shenzhen subway was built around 5yrs ago.
and it wasn't just in the terminal, a few other stations has that too.

Bleh, so I actually joined the forum after years lurking just to comment about the picture, but I had to await validation... :(

That is indeed SZ metro, and not Hong Kong's MTR. You can even see in the picture it is Luo Hu station, that is not a terminal station (begin/end of lane), and those huge keys actually act as seats, people use them for resting while waiting for the metro.

Woops, been a few years since I've been on the MTR in HK. After looking at some pics of it I can see the difference now. I guess the Sheung Wan Station threw me off.
