After getting a new Logitech keyboard, I've started haveing the strangest problem; I can't hit specific three key sequences. The computer gives a beep and doesn't do what I want, such as in FPSs, I'll hold W to go forward, Shift to run, and A to strafe. THAT works, but if I were to hold D to strafe right instead, it beeps. Any ideas how to fix this or whats causing it? The keyboard is connected through the keyboard port. Would getting an adapter to USB help?
 
I'm pretty sure it's a hardware limitation. A lot of keyboards suffer that. I never found it to be a problem with My Logitech Internet Navigator though.

Probably the best way to get over the problem would be to re-bind your keys to a combo that doesn't beep on you. That's a huge inconvenience... I'm not sure what else you can do.

As for trying USB, worth a shot but I doubt it'll make any difference. If it's a newer board you shouldn't need an adapter though. You should be able to slide the PS/2 adapter plug off and then plug the USB plug into your system. Since you didn't give the exact model it's hard to know whether or not this will be the case for your keyboard however. I
 
The type of connection makes no difference, this is a limitation of keyboard design.

Keyboards send signals through wires, and multiple keys share the same wire, so a specific 3 key combination could be on the same wire, whereas another 3 don't share the same wire.

Damn does that suck...just bought this stupid keyboard and its practically useless for gaming.
