Keyboard not recognized on new build??

This is my first build, ever, and I was doing great until I turned it on.

It turns on just fine, I see the main splash screen for Gigabyte, and try to press Delete to enter BIOS setup.

Unfortunately, my keyboard wasn't recognized.
I figured this would be the case, seeing as how my keyboard is a wireless USB one and would probably need to be configured in Windows prior to being able to use it.

So, I went and got an old PS/2 keyboard. Tried it... nothing.

Bought a new, cheap PS/2 keyboard. Nothing.

Bought a wired USB keyboard. Nothing.

I'm running out of ideas, here.

Anyone have any kind of idea of what could be going wrong?

The motherboard is a Gigabyte P35-DS3L, by the way.

Okay, USB keyboards don't work AT ALL.

The PS/2 one, though, at least lights up the Lock lights (caps, num, etc) for a second.
...but again, when the main Gigabyte screen comes up, asking me to press a button to enter BIOS setup, the boot menu, etc, none of the keys are working.

I've tried 2 different PS/2 keyboards and neither have worked!!

Could this be a defect on my mobo?

I'm lost.

i had trouble like that on a old nforce2 board.i had to turn off computer,unplug cord from ps,turn machine back on,then back off,plug in power cord and turn manchine back on.that was the only way to get computer to recognize keyboard.this only happen during power outages.sounds crazy but it worked.peace
