Hey guys I am pretty bored and am just looking for a keyboard LED mod I can do with my Logitech black internet keyboard... Anyone know where I can find a tutorial on some keyboard LED mods or anything with LED modding for that matter...

I am in the process of trying to make my keyboard a bit cooler with some EL wire. I just took the thing apart, ran the wire around like i saw in some pics on here, and am running a power wire for it down my keyboard cable to my pc. this doesnt really ahve to do with LED's, but :D

also, i dont remember which one, but a link in the case mod forum about LED's on the keyboard has great info
 
it's not so hard... most pcb's say + - for the LED legs...

just open it up and take a look :)

the led's are probably 3mm

that's what my microsoft was
 
what i want to do tho is put little led lights around my arrow keys and stuff so it glows out from under my buttons and illuminates them in the dark sorta

EDIT: I opened up my keyboard and found the LED that show if my numlock is on etc., but I wan't to know where the +5v and ground connectios are so I can solder my LED's to them..
 
getting the power for ur LED from ur keyboard isn't really a good idea...

get a usb cable, drill a little hole, and u have urself a 5v and ground right there :)

2 cables but it's not all that bad :)
