I can't understand, for the life of me, why there are no quality keyboards that have a touch pad, are wireless, and come with a backlight for lit keys. I've searched endlessly and I can't find ANY that meet those requirements and have even mediocre reviews!

Am I missing something here?

Full size or tiny like the Logitech Dinovo mini?

Medium to full size, not tiny if I can help it.

I've used the dinovo mini, it was miserable (both in terms of size, but mainly in terms of reponsiveness, connectivity, and "the worst ever" touchpad), haha.

I have personally played with the Rii keyboard/touchpad and overall it "gets the job done". Backlit, touchpad, full keyboard.

There are a few different iterations out there of it. I am pretty sure they are all from the same manufacturer though and just re-branded. They are relatively small though but fit in the hand alright. Nice that they are re-chargable as well.

And that touchpad does it for you? It looks like my thumb would barely be able to move on there, haha.

i just purchased the microsoft sidewinder but i feel like hte keys are jamed into a close space
they could have spread the board out a little

so I mean it all depends on what you exactly need it for. If you only need to use it everyone once and a while then it is fine. If you have to use it all the time then no way it is too small.

My friend has one of those Lenovos with the trackball. They are really nice:

Personally I have turned my HTPC more into a hybrid gaming machine so I actually just purchased the Logitech K800 wireless keyboard (awesome because it is backlit and rechargeable) I paired it with their Performance MX mouse. They are pretty great and use their unified adapter.

I think that the PS3 logitech keyboard/touchpad mediapad is nice: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-PlayStation-3-Cordless-MediaBoard-Pro/dp/B000W5RBQE However it has no backlight which is a let down.

I've tried several keyboards and remotes for my htpc and i haven't found anything that comes close to this combo:
- Blackberry (trackpad, not touch) phone with Freemote over bluetooth/wifi. Can type almost as fast as i can in my computer, the trackpad is accurate and just painless to use.

- PS3 Controller for XBMC when i don't need to type or use a mouse.

Use your current smartphone with unified remote in the play store or windows store. Sorry you are right last time I looked there was no good keyboards, and the few that are there are not only cheap they have horrible range.

If you want a track pad then you dont want accuracy so just use the smartphone.
