Hi there. I've been viewing this board for a good two weeks now. I was wondering if you guys could give me some suggestions for a good keyboard/mouse combo. I have searched through past threads using the "search" option but I have not found an answer for my personal needs. Here are my needs:

-I occasionally use graphics programs (photoshop/illustrator)
-Word processing for college papers
-Gaming (about an hour or less a day)
-Emails everyday
-Forum input online
-Basic work input
-I am on the computer about 6-8 hours a day depending on my schedule

What kind of mouse/keyboard combo best suits these needs? Thanks in advance!

I would suggest that you also put in whether or not you want your keyboard to be silent as well. I've tried and right now just purchased Logitech's MX Duo (which is pretty nice), but I know if someone was trying to sleep in my room, the pressing of the keys, especially the space bar, is pretty loud.

Mind you, I don't click on the buttons hard either.

Cordless keyboard & mouse - MX Duo

Ergonomic - MS Natural

Corded non-ergo - Logitech Elite, Logitech Media, Apple Pro Keyboard

Small size - Apple Pro, Liteon

why would you spend more than 100$ on a mouse thats just retarded, i say go with the mx duo

MX Duo.

Seeing as how he's not much of a gamer, I don't see the need for an MX1000 just cause it has a fricking cool laser for accuracy. :D

Logitech elite keyboard and IE 3.0 (I personally much prefer this over the MX series, but try them both out at Staples or whever before you buy).
