My Celeron will let me hold out until 32-core CPUs are out.

Who runs 32 CPU-intensive tasks at the same time? We would need multithreaded applications for that to sell.

But with these exponential increases in processing power, I think a cure for cancer isn't too far away. Moore's law seems to have been revived; this time it's the number of cores that doubles every two years.
