I am the only one who keeps all of the motherboard, cpu, and graphics card boxes? I literally have over 20 in total. I just don't have the ability to get rid of them, as I always find a new use for them.
 
Two entire shelves of my closet are hardware boxes. I use them to keep accessories organized and for resale.
 
When I used to do audio/video installations I would always recommend that customers keep their boxes. The ones who threw them away often later realized the errors of their way, when it came time for service, upgrades, or moving. Especially the Plasma/LCD boxes.

I always keep all of my computer/electronics boxes. People love it when you sell them something used and it has the original boxes and packing materials.
 
I have a huge amount in the attic from upgrading my computer plus my brothers.
 
I keep some but don't have space to keep everything. Before I lived in NYC I did but now it's only a select few.
 
I do, but I have no idea why. I tend to run most of my hardware til it no longer works, except for maybe video cards, so the resell thing doesn't really apply to me. However, I had a buddy that claims he had a warranty RMA denied because he didn't have the original packaging, so I keep it for that. No idea if it's true or not.
 
I keep all of mine stored in the attic for warranty and resale purposes. I have so many that they also act as extra insulation. :D

I remember when I had deal with Patriot memory support a few years back, they wanted the memory to be in the original packaging when I sent it off.
 
Hard drive manufacturers used to be like that. They might still be actually. Well, I say that plural. The only one I've had to deal with sending drives back has been Seagate. They did accept other packaging, but if it wasn't packaged to a "standard" then it voided the warranty.
 
It depends on the hardware.
Small boxes yes, anything larger that a bread box gets tossed.
 
I want to keep all of them, but it takes up way too much space. I keep as many boxes as required to keep accessories, screws, etc. organized. Additionally, if there is any hardware I think I will resell (i.e. motherboards) or I might need to RMA, I keep the boxes. If the hardware seems good and I have faith in its longevity, the boxes go out.
