I saw it mentioned around, so I picked up a Netgear Pro firewall, but I have to reset the thing (unplug, wait two minutes, plug back in) several times a day at this point. It's ridiculous, but the thing works well.
So I'm looking into wireless and have what might be a "stupid" question (I'm clueless with wireless): do you need a special ethernet card to use these wireless routers? Or have to install any software?
People writing those reviews are stating it's just "plug-n-go", essentially, which is what I'm looking for, but something with a stable connection.
It will be used on a desktop PC only (my gaming rig), two actually, my wife's computer will soon be hooked-up as well.
Thanks for any info/advice in advance. I know nothing of how wireless works.
P.S.
If not wireless, how's this router: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833127060?
Not as many "safety" features as the Netgear firewall I'm running, but...
