Keep 6800nu or get a GT?

Well, I am hoping you guys can help me make a decision. I have a friend who has a 6800GT, but is going pci-e. He is selling his GT and offered it to me for $200. My problem is that I have been very pleased with my 6800nu that unlocked just fine and is overclocked to 430/900. So, my question is, will I see a big improvement with the GT over the NU?

I would see how much you can get for your 6800nu. If you can get the 200 bux then go for it. if not then I would just stick with what you got as they are still good cards.

I'd Keep the 6800. If you did all that your pretty much on Par with the GT anyways. But like ^^ He said, if you can sell your 6800 for 200 then buy the GT.

Yeah like the others said, get the GT. $200 is a darn good price for a used GT. You can probably get $150 for your 6800nu, and $50 for that upgrade isn't bad at all.

How about buying it for 200, selling your NU for 250 on here, and making 50 dollars profit...

Man, to be honest, I was contemplating buying a 6800gt for a while... do a search and you'll see me askin 50 questions, lol... Fact is... they dont compare... Your 6800nu couldn't make FarCry look half as beauitful with HDR, and not to mention all the upcoming games are gonna knock your 6800 out of the "very high" setting before long. 200 bucks for a 6800gt is awesome... not to mention, you MIGHT be overclocking to 6800gt speeds, but dont forget, we 6800gt owners are overclocking to Ultra speeds..

I agree. 25-50 bucks is worth the trade up. 128 Mb of RAM is going to start to hurt with newer games.

Thanks for the input everyone. My brother has offered to buy the 6800nu for $150 so it looks like i'll be getting a GT for only 50 bux Perfect timing too because I just ordered a 3500 winchester and an MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum. Again, thanks everyone.

Heh 50$ for a GT why the hell not Anyways if you wouldn't have gotten the GT for that cheap after selling i would of kept the nu and wait for the next gen.

That, and the lower amount of ram. If anything neuters the card, this is it.

Don't forget that unlocked pipes aren't the real deal either. The performance boost isn't that great.

you could easily get $220 for a unlockable 6800nu in the forsale forum.

Your 6800NU will probably be faster than the GT simply because you have been able to OC it to 430 MHz on the core. (and of course unlock the pipelines)

The extra 100-200 MHz on the RAM doesn't make a huge difference.

BUT I would buy it from him and sell it for more!
