Kaspersky traffic monitor

i was browsing tru kaspersky internet security's various setting windows when i find this,
my total up/down traffic is calculated to over 400GB.

the largest incoming traffic apps are kaspersky IS and ASFPLAYER
WHAt in the world would kaspersky download that much amount of data?

and ASFPLAYER, it's a local camera program, it doesn't need internet at all, what's going on?

No idea on ASFplayer, but Kaspersky routes most of your traffic through itself to do firewall functions/etc. thus they show up under the kaspersky process in that log.

EDIT: Quick google looks like ASFPlayer is a viewer app for IP Cameras, you have any that record to your PC or something?

kaspersky will always be top as it acts like a proxy... the others are just you showing your "stuff" to your "girl friend" who is probably a 60 year old guy.

ok, i see what you mean, so basically all traffic passes tru kaspersky before they reach other individual app, kind of like a double count
and ASFPLAYER uses IP for camera stream so it's considered internet traffic as well, but it's not really downloading from the internet

its a neat feature, once i know what it means
