Hi

I have the kaba lake i7 7700k with maximus ix asus formula mobo
and i havent overclocked anything beside the original boost modes it uses going to 4.5 from 4.2 Ghz

Then i configured my pc so the cpu only goes up to full speed when im using the pc and then it idles down when im afk :)

But in cpu z i can see the cpu speed (mhz) is jumping up and down, even if i dont use the pc..mostly it shows 4500 mhz but it also changes to lower values only for seconds until it jumps to 4500 again..its like the cpu dosent want to relax :D

I remember my old pc was more relased on lower speeds in this same idle mode..

Is there a way to make the cpu idle better at lower mhz ?
I remember something with turning c states or load line options in bios on or off..

My pc works great but i just wanted a stable idle load than this mexican jumping beam syndrome my cpu has :D

Change the load, change the power plan. I assume you got all the options like EIST, speedstep etc enabled in BIOS.

The power plan in win 10 is set to balanced and idle cpu 5% and load 100 %

Bios settings is mostly set to auto

Cpu C - state Auto
EPU power save mode Disabled
Cpu Loadline calibration Auto
Intel Speedstep Auto

Its something with these options right ?
