Hi,
I'm trying to decide between the new k4000 or new k5000 quadro cards, for cad and cgi stuff like modo. My concern is largely about monitor hookups. They both list the following output connections:
DVI-I
DVI-D
DP
DP
3pin Stereo1
I have a 30" dell as my main monitor currently which uses a dual link dvi, so I assume that's the dvi-d plug. But I read the DP connects were the new 1.2 standard which 'sounds' like it supports res/freq high enough for the 30" panel, but would it be possible to hook it up to an older 30" panel?
Reason is I currently use 3 displays, but want to later upgrade on of these to a 27 or 30 and I want to make sure I can hook everything up down the road.
Also, if you have any insight into these new quadro K parts I'd be interested to hear..
Thanks!
