So I was kinna getting bothered that my core temp where not all the same. I'm getting variations of up to 7C between cores (4 on average) with an OC of 4.5 GHz. When I reset to default frequency, All temps are same. I've searched both on this forum and other internet sites and everyone says this is fine/normal.

My question is - I have a HR-02 Macho which according to it's specs has a convex contact surface. Does this design have something to do with the varying temps?
Anybody else having varying temps? If so, what kind of heatsink do you have?
 
Don't worry about it. I have had several 2500k's and only one of them had consistent temps across all 4 cores (it was a sweet chip). I average around 6-7 c difference on my current chip under water with Swiftech GTZ
 
People think the readings they are getting are temps, when really they are not, they are calculations based off of Tj Max, the sensors tell how far away it is from Tj Max and the software uses a given Tj Max, like coretemp uses a 98C Tj Max for the 2500k the temps are then calculated based on how far the temp is from that given Tj Max. These sensors are not perfect for giving temp readings, as that is not what they are meant to do, actual temps can be a good deal off, the lower the temp the worse it gets as well. Even then, difference in cores are 100% normal, there are people who have 10C+ variance in cores.
 
Yea mine shows 10*c at 4.5ghz and up to 13-14*c when i try for 5ghz on my 2500k. I have a CM 212+ cooler
