Well, I pieced together a pretty nice system. My DFI Infinity has a 2400+ Mobile sitting in the socket, and a Zalman CNPS-7000A-Cu rests on the chip, lovingly applied with some AS5. 6 case fans take care of cooling. I have overclocked my 2400+ to 2.5 gHz, and it runs nice and cool, no crashes, but every once in a while, it just crashes.

I think the problem might be my 420 watt TurboLink PSU. It came with my case, could voltage flux be a problem? I am looking at new power supplies, could anyone offer me some insight as to which PSU is stable? My budget is about 85 dollars. Thanks.

I agree that it could most definately be you PS. I have the same one, and have similar stability problems. I'll be getting my brand new Thermaltake Silent PurePower Butterfly 480w (what a name huh) tomorrw from the egg. I looked at reviews all over the net, and it gets nothing but rave reviews. If you can wait a couple of days, I'll let you know how mine turns out. Oh yea, it was $82 shipped.

Yeah, I saw that PSU on NewEgg. It has Active PFC, and many others don't.

Can somebody tell me what Active PFC means?

Active Power Fluctuation Control?

It just makes it mo betta. I don't know man, but it sounds fancy! And, you get a neato blower, AND a dual channel fan bus. Oh yea, the 5v rail is a kickin 40amps, nice for overclocking AMDs.

Googled this

I bought this PSU a few months ago and it has been a solid performer. All my rails are stable. I'm more than happy with this PSU.
