I'm foldin' for the [H]orde now. how fortunate we are to be able to help humanity in this way.

just one question: is there a way to know what protien you're currently working on?
 
Welcome to the [H]orde.:) To check which protein you're currently crunching, check here.
 
I use EMIII.
That way I can monitor all my boxen over the lan off my main box.
It shows which protiens you are folding, what core it is useing, how long it will take, etc, etc.

I'm slowly fireing my servers back up.. summer time just gets to damned hot.
 
On the FAH site there is a link for Stats, click that.
then on the next page is a project summary link, click that and it will list the proteins by number and the info on them.

at the first part of the work unit you are folding it will list the number of the protein unit you are folding, also you can get the same protein the next time or a completely different one to fold, so watch the numbers and figure out how you are doing.

this is alot of fun to keep track of and also their are programs to keep track of it for you.

 
so what's the easiest way to log all the important stuff i'm doing, like which protiens i'm folding, how long it takes, if they fold properly or run iunto trouble.... ????

In the lower right of your tool bar, there is a red cog. open it and watch it. I have it displayed like that on all my boxen. That way I can flip through teh KVM's and see what is doing what...

Have you looked at Larry's EMIII.
Its a small monitoring program which will do all the above.
Its very usefull if your running multiple headless boxen as it will monitor over a lan.
Plus its got a [H]ardOCP skin.
