We Aussies have no idea what a shrimp is...

In the beginning God created day and night. He created day for footy matches, going to the beach and BBQ's.

He created night for going prawning, sleeping and BBQ's, and God saw that it was good.

On the Second Day, God created water - for surfing, swimming and BBQ's on the beach, and God saw that it was good.

On the Third Day God created the Earth to bring forth plants - to provide malt
and yeast for beer and wood for BBQs, and God saw that it was good.

On the Fourth Day God created animals and crustaceans for chops, sausages, steak and prawns for BBQ's, and God saw that it was good.

On the Fifth day God created a Bloke - to go to the footy, enjoy the beach, drink the beer and eat the meat and prawns at BBQ's, and God saw that it was good.

On the Sixth Day God saw that the Bloke was lonely and needed someone to go to the footy, surf, drink beer, eat and stand around the barbie with.
.. So God created Mates, and God saw that they were good Blokes, and God saw that it was good.

On the Seventh Day God looked around at the twinkling barbie fires, heard the hiss of opening beer cans and the raucous laughter of all the Blokes. He smelled the aroma of grilled chops and sizzling prawns and God Saw that it was good ... ..
Well, almost good.

He saw that the Blokes were too tired to clean up and needed a rest.
So God created Sheilas - to clean the house, to bear children, to wash, to cook and to clean the Barbie, and then God saw that it was not just good.
It was better than that, it was Awesome!

IT WAS AUSTRALIA!!!!!

I’ve partied in this country with a number of people from across the vast pond.

I’ve partied with the Irish, they drink and fight and then drink some more. Overall they are about half nuts when it comes to a party.

I’ve partied with some Brits, they drink, talk about war wounds etc. Overall it was fun but well, it became obvious why we became what they call the colonies.

I’ve partied with the Scotts. Before I was allowed to drink I was forced into the Kilts and to listen to endless bagpipe music till the wee hours of the morning. From the little I can recall they are far worse than the Irish as far as total consumption of whiskey but they know how to party and would be rated as crazy in their own right.

Then we come to what happens to a penal colony when allowed to run amuck. Everything [OCAU]EvilGenius said is pretty much true except he was being kind to himself and fellow countrymen. The blokes who own small farms think nothing of going to visit the closest neighbor who is probably 400 or more clicks away and doing it on a motor cycle on dirt roads. To be honest the blokes who own really big farms do pretty much the same it just takes longer;)

While drinking they have a penchant for singing Waltzing Matilda which means you hear that song a lot. Day and Night.

Their Dingo, half dog half whatever is an interesting pet / beast to say the least.

The wild animal life (even if you separate the Blokes) is like nothing else on earth, I mean, have you ever seen a Platypus and the plural of that is Platypuses.

I could go on forever but the fact is they live hard, party harder and are among the greatest folk in the world. Oh, one more thing, if ever you get a chance to play a Didgeridoo, don’t turn it down.

Oh, and if ever offered a Vegemite sandwich, run like hell. It’s one of those tastes you will never forget.;):D:p:eek:

Over all they are some crazy mofos for a fact.:)

400clicks jee thats just a stroll down to the front gate to check the weekly post bag.
Pushbikes are easier then motorbikes too, as they dont break down

And vegemite is just pure heaven on toast ;)

I have partied with folks from Great Britan, Germany, Chille, Puru, Japan, Korea, and a few other places. Partying with an Ausie.... well it really cannot compare, it needs to be in its own class. Those guys are nuts, but its a great time.

For the record, it is not a good idea to shoot pool for pitchers with the Brits (unless you want to find new limits of drunk and broke).
