will a 9800pro run fine on 4x AGP slot ?

is there a big difference in performance from 4x - 8x ?

i just wanna make sure it will work fine on my board.

yes it will work.
negligable performance increase between 4x/8x

So inother words, the 9800pro will blow away what i am currently running on.

Thanks :D

my comp is running good right now, i can't wait to see how it performs after i buy the 9800pro.

I went Ti200 to Ti4600 to 9800Pro. The biggest differences will be you can crank game textures all the way up, run at higher resolutions, and add in some AA/AF with very little performance hit.

So where you were running crappy 'Low' textures run 'High' textures. Where you were running 800x600, try 1024x768, or 1280x1024 even. And crank on the AA/AF. Try at least 4xAA/4xAF. Better yet, 6xAA/8xAF.

You'll also see better fps on GPU intensive games and maps. If you play a shooter with jungle maps, you'll see what I mean.

One thing to note: Your CPU is being free'd up a bit with your uber powerful card. But not a whole lot. Your still gonna see some of the same fps 'lows' that you did be4. A lot of games are CPU dependent. So getting an awesome card like the 9800Pro only lets you improve the look of the game vs. getting mad fps.

So all your games are gonna look better, and games that are all about video card are gonna rock.
