Ok, so i'm prepping for a case mod... It's going to be themed based on a game that is to be released around Christmas this year.

With that in mind, the first thing i need is a good case to be the backbone. As such, i was wondering if anyone had any experiences with the case below...

Enermax CS-10181-W (Beige/white) 12- Bay Entry Server and Workstation Tower, Retail.

Couple other questions:
Can you remove that blue thing with the fans on it and not compromise the functionality of the case any? (i hate those fan door things, especially if i plan on having a window right there)...

Has anyone taken apart the top ports for a case like this? (or any case with those incorporated) because that is another thing that just has to go... whoever thought of making cables come out the top of a case was on crack!

So thanks for any other information and insight you can give me on this case.

Here's some pics of it:

That's a pretty good looking case, me likey. :D

Couldn't agree more about the choise of locations for the usb, firewire, audio, ect. that is just gay.

what game will become apparent when i start a more official worklog on it...

for now though, i'll just say it's coming out around x-mas...

as for this case... i've been reading reviews all day on it... and i think i'm goin with it unless someone has something negative to say about it.

Looks like a pretty decent case. I can definatly see some cool mods comming out of this. Its made of steel, so becareful not to get any pointy metal flakes in your skin. I dremmeled this steel case once and the metal flakes were like tiny cactus needles, got in my skin on my hands. Sucked major balls. Where gloves just to be on the safe side when cutting. Good luck, and keep us posted
