I've got a question. I got the client running, after setting everything up, CptTrips, team 33, etc, now the client is just sitting there... Is it still processing and/or doing what it's supposed to do? This is the screen.

I'm assuming it's working since it's using Fahcore_65.exe is using 90-95% of my processor, but it's only using 11mb of ram. This normal?
 
You might consider setting it up as a service (so the window is not always up) but it is indeed working. When you see those frames completed 1 - 2 - 3 etc, is the main thing to look for.

You could also investiage EM3 for keeping a closer eye on how long it takes per frame, and work unit!
 
Yup that is normal. If you told it to run as a service, you can close out of the console, restart, and it'll start and you wont ever know F@H is running.

You have a Tinker which is the oldest core Stanford uses so it uses the least memory.
Gromacs can use +50 mb.
The QMD's which are the newest core can use well over 200 mb.
But each one varies slightly on how much it uses.

OK another question, I have a computer that sits at home (i'm at college) that does nothing, I want to set it up to fold 24/7. My dad's gonna install VNC on it so I can connect to it. Now when I install it, do I use my same username and teamname? So it knows that both computers (one's in Tampa, FL, the other in Tallahassee, FL) are both "Counting" for me?

In this situation a frequent question is what to set the machine id to. Machine ID is always set to 1 on computers that are only running a single instance of folding. If you have HT or Dual Core or Multiple processor computers then you can run multiple instances of folding and you would set machine id to 1 for the first instance and 2 for the second and so on (up to 8 I think). But maybe this is too advanced at this point in your folding experience :)
 
Actually in this instance, the Machine ID is inconsequential as its two distinct PC's, not two CPU's in the same machine. You can go ahead and use the same username and team, and Stanford will increment your CPU count by 1.
