I currently have:
2600-m @ 2.5 (12.5x200...old 1.xx A7N8X simply won't stay stable in 3d over 200fsb)
9700pro 385/330
2x256 Corsair XMS pc3200 bh-6 chips

My question is, if I have $300-400 for a computer upgrade, what would my best option be? 6800gt/x800pro (moddable hopefully to XT)...or 1gb of ram. I'm probably goin to upgrade my entire system come January - minus whatever I get now. I'm actually not sure how much my current cpu would bottleneck me with a new vid card, and I'm not sure which of the parts would be best to wait for...ram or gpu. Any advice would be much appreciated.

ps. saving the money isn't an option, I have to spend it before the end of September.

Id say upgrade now to 6800gt if your looking to spend <400 (newegg has 2 6800gts that are near $400 in stock atm). I think the only x800pros that are moddable to xtpe are the VIVOs, and those run >400 if i remember correctly. Then you can sell 9700pro, use that money to buy 1gb of ram, and sell your existing sticks of ram to recoup more money.

Dunno if you want to go through all that hassle, and If you want to save your existing vid card/ram for another build, then it won't work =). If that's teh case I'd say go for vid card upgrade. But that's just me :).
