I got a BFG fx5900nu a couple weeks ago from Fry's, and was pretty pleased with the bang for the buck factor. I'm in the process of putting together a computer for my bro, and I ordered a 5900nu for it...so I put it in and I get massive artifacts on startup. I decide to test it out in my setup, and the same thing happens, plus a blue screen after 2 minutes. The box and instructions looked legit and unused. I wonder what the heck happened to the darn thing--I've read on a couple posts where people have been getting DOA 5900's too. This really sucks! I hope I don't have to pay for shipping both ways for a new one.

I am pretty sure you can just return directly to fry's. They are really hassle free in the store. Just tell them what happened and ask for the same card.
really? It's funny because I would say the exact opposite about Fry's here in San Diego. In fact, a lot of people I talk to about computers share this same view. Plus, when you open the box for the card, there is a paper that says to not deal with problems straight with BFG, not the store you bought it from.
