just ordered my 74 raptor...

I want one too but can't afford/justify the cost to my wife. 
As a non-raid system (windows and apps only) disk, will the 36Gb be enough though? If it's not going to be faster than a decent 7200 then i'll just get an 80Gb 7200 SATA instead.
Are rumours of a 36Gb V2 Raptor just that, rumours

i didnt tell my wife...hee hee. my raptor will be non raid, as i dont think the performance will be enough to justify, and that amount my wife would notice. the 36 raptor will be faster than a 7200 sata. no idea about new raptors

There was a lot of talk about them when the 74GB first came out. I think if they were going to release them, they'd done it already.
Now they're probably more concerned about the next generation of Raptor drives. Plus the 74GB is only about $40 for twice the space if you can get one of the newegg AR deals.
