AND HEY! all this will likely mean nothing to any of you but i feel like sharing the good news.
after about a month of waiting for it to get in stock, at either newegg or zipzoomfly(formerly googlegear), the MSI K8T master2-far finally got in and hey i ordered it. granted i have no cpu's for it but i didn't want to chance waiting another month.
i plan to be running dual 246 opterons with some 3200 ram, it wont be running at 3200 because with dual opterons i assume the memory pipe becomes unstable at the speed or whatever. It is forced to run at 2700 so hey whatever.
oh yeah it will be replacing my current mobo+cpu.
BTW little question, someone else look at the big cpu heatsink that comes with the mobo and tell me if you think it looks ALOT like a P4 spark5+ by thermaltake and if therefore the board uses the P4 bracket as aposed to the 940bracket. It is just a theory but someone else give me your thoughts.
