Just ordered a new router/card

I'm finally getting a router and wireless. I decided to jump to draft N just because my mom has a new MBP with N and it was only about 20-30 more than using the older G technology. Hopefully I made the right choice, tell me what you think. One question I have is that one of my laptops has an Intel 3945ABG card, if the router is broadcasting N band, can I also have it broadcasting G so my laptop can connect? Will it automatically operate at the lower speed for my laptop but still have N speeds for the desktop and MBP? Here's what I got, it was the deal through newegg.

If a G device connects, then all devices will be lowered to G.

For this AP probably, I was just reading up on the 1250 though, and it specifically dosn't do this.
