I would say because that PS is overkill for your system, but based on your sig money is clearly not an issue.
 
An excellent PSU, one of the best you can get currently!

The single rail design is particularly nice, no need to worry about overloading a specirfic 12v+ rail... just plug everything in and go. If you are lucky enough to be able to afford it I'd say you made an excellent choice!

And it's not just about how it will perform in your current rig and wether it's overkill or not. It's also about future proofing and with that amount of raw power you should be set for at least a few years. :)
 
Ok I cancelled my 1000 watt for a silencer 750watt hope it wasnt a mistake
 
I would like to see how the 750 PCP&C PSU does with a 8800 SLi PC. Can you keep me informed? I just ordered a 750 myself, but my SLi will be with 7900GTO's
