Thanks to you guys and your input on this monitor. Some great threads and discussions and found EXACTLY what I was looking for in answers. Such as the comparison between the Dell 2407 and the 2007 and ended up getting the 2007 because it seems to be best with a lot less problems with half the price.
I ended up getting it on the 5 days back to school sale for $379 (Canadian funds) so I impulsively bought it after reading your threads.
Now, I've done a lot of reading but when I receive it, I should check if it's revision A02 and check for dead pixels right?
I don't know what a dead pixel is but I'm assuming it's a pixel that doesn't work and you'll see just a small black dot. Is it hard to find one or should it stand out?
Again, thanks to everyone on their input especially the poster Orr.
I'm also shopping for a new computer with a Intel Core 2 Duo Processor and was looking at the Dimension 9200. I love Dell because of their customer support and hassle-free exchanges, returns and next day shipment of defective parts under warranty so I'm looking to buy a Dell and I'm looking to spend around $1500-$2000 (Canadian funds).
I would like some input on what I should get with what hardware, etc.
Should I just spurge and get an XPS? I was also considering a laptop but I know desktops are more powerful and cheaper.
Thanks!
