Installation went smooth. My 3dmark 2003 doubled (new score 12100). Now I want to try a moderate oc. Which software should I use?
 
I used ATi Tool, it made it to 600 mem and 540 core, no artifacts. Then I realised that I had no idea what temp I was at and what is safe, so I stopped. It's back at default right now. Does anyone have any tips, particularly about temps. Just spent 500 bucks, don't want to fry the card. The dfi board I have does not monitor the temps for the vid card. The system temp was 39 c and the processor was fluctuating from 47 to 52.

I will say this, the fan seems to be working well, the heat coming out the back of the case was substantial (850xt fan).
 
my temps dont rise when i oc my x800xtpe. they stay the same, its the limitations of the card thats holding me back = (

btw ati tool, ati tray tool, and rivatuner can read the temps of your card
