Cool. I hope to be doing that sometime in September.
i got mine about 2 weeks ago and i see a HUGE FRIGGIN difference over my 9800pro. man o man are you going to love this card. great price for the performance. i was skeptical about ths card at first and had a feeling that something was wrong. but to my surprise nothing was wrong with it. only thing i figured out with it though was that the resell value wont be even close to what you pay for it

I got mine for $375 :) its the one with the dual fans on the copper heat pipe/sink thingy-ma-bobber. Thanks :D ... great price for a 6800GT

ooooooo i just got mine yesterday for $404 total including next day fed ex :) love it. i have it stable at 400/1.06 i haven't played around too much yet. idle temp hovers around 67-70 so i'm not sure if i like that too much. i'll probably get a nv silencer for it to protect my investment...and oc it a bit more

my case has two fans moving air across my motherboard and one just there to blow across the card slots so i shouldn't really need to make an ugly hole for that. i was thinking about getting a silencer anyway so i'll probably just do that.

i dont mean to be an ass, but how the hell did you afford a 400$ video card at the age of 13...

Parents. :)
At least it somewhat constructive. Some people like spending $150 on shoes that were made by a child half their age in a sweatshop, but that's their business.

Nothing wrong with your parents buying that.
Have fun with it, i just installed mine today too!

enjoy :) its a fun experience installing and playing with a new video card...well most of the time hehe  :D

My parents bought me a 3d accelerator when I was 13. It was a Voodoo Rush board. It was a crappy board, even for it's time, but I was such a newb that I didn't find out for a couple years. It made my pentium 90mhz like 50 times faster in quake 2. <1fps with built in video vs. 50 fps (can't remember resolution, probably 640x480, with medium texture detail).

My parents noticed how much more time I spent playing Jedi Knight and the Quakes. That was the last piece of hardware they bought for me. :(

I bought a GT OC yesterday, up from a 9600xt. WOW! :D :D
