I just got Tiger and I like it a lot

But, I want to put it on my other computer, the laptop.

IS that legal?

Its funny how most Apple owners will question the ability to load software they pay for, on their second computer.

PC people spread their software like herpes

Oh, I never paid for Windows or basically any game that I used before I got married, but Macs are different, you know?

Do I need to buy another Tiger or is it cool to give it to my laptop (Jag).

Technically no, you dont need another copy and you won't get caught installing it on another Mac since there is no registration or DRM. But ethically you should purchase another license.

I dunno, I think its more legally than ethically. After all, the reason apple can afford to not have any sort of copy protection or anything in their os's is because 95% of all copies of OSX are legal (due to you needing to buy a hefty, expensive piece of machinery to get it :))

on a semi-related note, I really like apples multiple-os policy. you can buy tiger... or you can buy tiger + 5 licenses for 50 bucks more.
