This thing is a beast. Sounds like a leaf blower when it starts up, but then calms down to a whisper.

Plus just the over all visual quality in games is absolutely amazing.
 
got mine last friday,I agree,at stock clocks I never hear the fan, playing fear or quake4 any of the power games,53c idle temp on stock cooling 67 load
 
It is something else for sure, awesome GPU! :)
Got my XTX the 28'th of Jan and have not slept yet. ;)
 
I just got mine last week too, I love it, much better performance in high resolutions and better image quality than my 7800 GTX 256MB. Very nice upgrade over a 7800 GTX. I agree the fan is quiet, at least when you aren't gaming.

You have to buy one to know or simply listen to the people who own them. Mine is silent and hardly noticable while gaming.

Mine only makes noise for a second while booting the PC, other than that its quiet.

how did you only get 6444 with a 7800gtx?

I have a x2 4400 (@2.6) 7800GTX (515/1350) and I get ALMOST 9000....

but yeah, you will get higher IQ (must....get.....one)
 
Very nice. I'd love to grab one and slap a VF-900Cu on it but I can't quite afford a whole new set-up just yet. Me jealous. :D

Yep, same here. Even when I turn down the volume (which is rarely) on BF2 its very quiet. Using ATITool variable fan control to get temps to around 70, were around 80 without it.
 
I saw the X1900XTX cards breaks 15k in 3dmark05 twice :eek: :eek:

My card is also very quiet.

One thing on these benching scores: Scores done with a person dipping their house in liquid nitrogen, are of no use to me. My wife won't allow the trucks to back into our front yard and the dogs fur just isn't that thick.

I really prefer benchmarks that are either done with air OCs or not OCed at all.
