And I had a question. My graphics card HD6870 sapphire has 2 DVI ports, when I connect the monitor with the DVI-D port it does not give any signal on the monitor, however on the other port it does give me a signal.

At first my screen was stuttering, when I looked closely on the display I could see flickering pixels. I restarted my pc and the stuttering was gone.

I find it strange that I'm able to use this port and not the dual link one since the ebay page clearly said it only worked with DVI-D dual link.
 
Its possible that the "bad" dvi port is a single link. If you set your video card to 640x480 it should work on that port, just as a test. Ive seen a few cards where once port is a full dvi with dualink and analog pins, and the other is a dvi-d single link that can double as a hdmi out.
 
Try a different DVI cable - I have run across several shitty ones that had the dual-link pins but would only work in single-link mode.
 
The problem is not resolved by restarting. I'm sure the problem comes from using the wrong dvi port, because in Catalyst control centre it says "DFP DVI Single"

Why can't I use the DVI-D dual link port?

Im using the cable provided with the monitor.
 
Swap the cable anyway - CCC will state the current connection *NOT* the maximum capability of the connection.
 
Yeah I will. I'm surprised I'm only able to connect it on the single DVI port. I was thinking if my graphics card had a disabled dual link port.
 
I don't get where you're confused. If it works with one port and not the other, then obviously the working port is dual-link DVI and the other port is single-link DVI. What makes you think the other port is dual link?
