I dont agree at all. I think the Mitsubishi 930 is alot better than the 710T in quality
 
Oh, I was curious if the 710T was decent at scaling. Can it scale down to 1024x768 decent enough? If it can't, no biggy.

I told you the 710T was the best lcd, and I told you exactly what was true for me with the ghosting - I see none unless I really concentrate on finding it. You have agreed with me that it is the best LCD. How could I have mislead you when I even prefaced what I posted with the fact that ghosting varies from person to person?

Yeah, the 710T does a decent job of scaling games, but like any LCD the text sucks when scaled. It also looks sort of blurry in windows when scaled.

BTW, I have this monitor sitting right next to a 17" Sony Trinitron, and this one displays a far better picture and the difference between the two in games in negligible.
 
vinny, if I misleaded you, i'm sorry. but i still stand by my word that the 710Ts are the best lcd our there. I also stand by my word that they don't have any ghosting or blurring while playing games that I play which are farcry, ut2k4, quake 2, quake 3, and other rpg's and rts.

IF I MISLEAD YOU, I MUST HAVE MISLEAD MYSELF because I bought 4 of them. Who's the sucker now?
 
Will receive it tomorrow...But right now I don't have a DVI video card to really test it, i'm stuck with an old Geforce 1. Will post some thoughts, I already have a Hitachi 16ms that will go to my girlfriend, I have high hope for this Samsung, better be good !
 
Another question for Bomberman (or any other 710t owner): would you say that the 710t would be suitable for digital painting programs, like Painter?

Gentz, I'm not precisely sure what you mean by digital painting program, however, I'll take it to mean that you do graphic design on your computer. I do graphic design for my sister's clothing company and free-lance for a few local companies. One of the main selling points of this monitor was the true 24-bit panel. That was a requirement. The panel does an excellent job of accurately displaying colors and gradients in Fireworks and Photoshop.

One of the tests I did right when I got this monitor was to take a chromatic picture from photoshop (I did a chrome effect on a very diversely colored, and rather dark, picture) and display that on both this LCD and my trinitron. The picture's details were very distinguishable on both. It actually looked much better on the LCD, much to my surprise (I had expected the grays to not be as accurate as they were).
 
I got my 710t today. I'm liking it a lot. Doesn't ghost. Seems to be 24bit, but I still need to get the colors/brightness/contract calibrated better. Isn't there a site that gives you profile settings for lcd monitors?

FarCry looked great, no ghosting. Thief 3 seemed .... washed out (not that I can play it till I get 4.8 cats for my x800).

Thief3's problem seems to be part of one slight annoyance I have with this monitor. Maybe it is normal (my first lcd). But at the top and bottom of the screen (centered from the sides) it looks like the backlight is shining through to the screen. Is this normal for lcds or did I get a defective one? Anyone else notice this?
 
It's normal for LCDs, but usually it only occurs when there is no color being displayed (I.e. windows boot/POST). It can, however, happen whenever there are dark colors being displayed at the bottom and top of the screen.
 
My 710T only does this at the top center........ no place else though.

Yes, mine is noticable with the black color.

But to me its not that important, so i can live with it ^_^.
 
It does it very slightly when displaying black, but when it's not displaying black - pixels are off (boot/POST screens) - it is very noticeable and rather obtrusive.

Yea, ive looked at that before, and bugged my dad with that. Quote to Dad: "Ha, you think im trying to rip you off?" (when buying a 710T) "How about you get me a IBM for 8400$US.

Anyway, the pixle pitch looks awsome from the specs........

You act like you have bionic eyes that can sense the slightest difference in monitors. I read your other pointless blather posts about motion blurring in Counter-Strike. It's only fitting that an ignoramous as large as yourself plays one of the dumbest and most unrealistically random FPS's ever.

I could post screenshots of box, wall, floor blurred textures from inside of CS using a 19" CRT. It's half-life1's horrendous engine, in combination with a sub-par video card not running any filtering options. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with a monitor, and only a complete fucking neanderthal would purchase an LCD monitor and expect zero ghosting. The specs say 12ms, not 2ms, buy a brain off ebay Vinny.
