Well I got my 2407 today. I ordered it on the 1st of July packaged with an XPS 400 for only $1100. Anyways I'm pretty pleased with the LCD even though it's still a Rev A00. As far as the banding issue there is only a little in desktop mode, but once you switch it to multimedia or gaming the banding is pretty bad. Anyways I heard that Rev A02 only fixes the banding in desktop mode so I don't think I'll be sending it back to get reflashed unless theres any other benifits. I'll post pics once I get my camera back, then I could use the built in memory card reader =).

I thought at this point that Dell was only shipping out A02s with new orders? I ordered a 2407 a few days ago, just shipped yesterday (right when I was thinking of cancelling and getting the NEC 20" LCD/HDTV). When this much money is involved, personally, if I don't get an A02 I'm sending it back and getting one. And if I get an A02 and it's not bloody perfect, it's going to get sent back in that case as well.
It's nice that you have the option of sending it back and getting a refund.
And yes, I agree. With this much money involved companies shouldnt be screwing us over so much.
I'm looking into buying a Samsung 244T. Doesn't have any banding issues and the components seem to look clear. Some people reported input lag on the first batch, but recently I havent seen anyone who just got one complaining about it at all.
