Is there anything I can do with it an x800pro? Unlocking pipes seems to be all the rage these days and I was wondering if I could unlock anything on this card. Links on how to do it are welcomed. :p

i hear you can oc it to be better if not just as good as an x800xl....thats why i plan on buying one soon....but as far as unlocking pipes goes, i have no idea how to do it

If its got the VIVO chip you have a change of unlocking pipes. But we are so far down the road I dunno. You gotta unlock it to 16 pipes if you want it to be alot faster than the x800xl. Slap a cooler on it and overclock that baby.

my card wasnt supposed to be a VIVO, but i got one anyway! Basically if it has the Rage Theatre chip on it and the memory says GC16 rather than GC20, then you can flash the card to a 16 pipe. I have mine running at X800XT Specs, 500/1000 and 16 pipes.

when did you get your card and is it agp or pci-e?

i got mine from ATI direct (the 179 refurbished) and I heard if it didn't have the internal 4 pin connector (for outputting some video..... blah i dunno) it couldn't be unlocked.

Well, at the minimum you can OC the ram to 500mhz, as thats what the memory is stated to run at I believe, and the x800pro comes in a 450mhz ram....
