Last night I just picked up a E8500, Zalman 9700 heatsink, XFX 780i mobo, 2x2GB Kingston HyperX PC8500, Corsair 750watt powersupply, Black Lian-Li PC-6X Aluminum case and a BFG 260 GTX 216.

Got it all for $550!!!

I just sold my old amd 3700 asus sli deluxe, 1gb corsair xms3200 2-2-2-5, 8800gt, 650watt silverstone power supply all in a nice silverstone case for $300 to a friend at work. So really I only ended up paying $250 for my new setup

Just installed windows and for right now have the E8500 running @ 3.8ghz with memory @ 800mhz 4-4-4-12. I had some issues going above 3.8ghz @ 38c idle. I havn't gotten the HyperX to be stable at 1066 unless I use super loose timings like 7-7-7-29 and even then it didn't pass memtest. I've heard some people having issues with this memory and mobo. Any input?

Do you think it's better to have tighter timings with a lower memory clock or looser timings with a faster memory clock?

Oh and BTW I bought this system from a young docotor that just finished med school. We met at a gas station and at 1st I was real skeptical about the super low price, but once I saw him in person and started talking to the guy I could tell he was an honest guy. He was ballin with a new 5 series BMW, didn't even have a license plate yet.

It's amazing how cheap stuff is now.

Bump voltage to 2.1 or 2.2 for ram, 5-5-5-15, 1:1/ 400/800 / 333/667 ram divider.

Awesome deal you got, maybe better than the Sony 40Z4100 I just snagged brand new for $850 :D
