Well Im about to get a used X1900XTX to hold me over until the DX10 card come out and I was wondering if theres any advice you guys have for this card. Right now I have a 6800GT SLI and Im sure that my psu will support the 1900 and I also know about the omega drivers since Im using them on my laptop right now wich has an x600. I know the xtx runs pretty hot so is the stock cooler good enough or should I go with an aftermarket one, but noise isnt really a problem for me. Also how good do the XTX oc cause I heard that the regular XT dont oc that well. And finaly will running this card on an SLI mobo cause any problems?

The stock cooler works well but is noisy at higher rpms.
If that doesn't bother you I wouldn't worry about it.
Replacing it with something better might give you slightly better OC ?
From some threads I've read, lapping the stock heatsink and reapplying AS
seems to work wonders.

I think most all of the recent XTs will hit or exceed XTX speeds.
Mine is 100% stable at 675/800 on the stock voltage.
I'm still testing my max OC but I think I'll end up around 710/820 with a slight bump.

Whether the XTX goes much further than that, I have no idea.

Congrats! It really should last until DX10 cards are out, since it's a very powerful card.
Yes, the card will run hot and the cooler is not that great (kind of noisy) so you probably should replace it with something better.
The XTX is not a very good overclocker (or so I've read), but you should at least be able to reach 700 Mhz on the core, which is good enough. Read some reviews for more info.
As for the SLI mobo, it shouldn't be a problem, since you don't seem interested in something like Crossfire.
