Hi people, I've been lurking around for quite a bit so I knew I could go here for my lcd knowledge needs. :)

Anyway, my 2407 A03 arrived today, and I'm wondering whether the backlight is "supposed" to bleed as much as it does:

And no, those leds aren't emitting radioactive gasses...

That's definetly noticeable...how does it look with an image on the screen?

I think it looks fine and those blue and red dots are not on the screen by tthe looks because if you look down the bottom of the pic their are also dots which is not even on the monitor :)

I couldn't see any bleeding from my A02, but the picture doesn't look too bad,
I left mine at school (waiting for wankel to make cases again) so I can't test it. But I would say that does look worse than I remember mine being.

My A02 has banding that's barely noticeable in this test, but I can't tell during any other use, so I gave up waiting for Dell to fix it.

Then again, I returned mine because of dead pixels, so you could make use of their 21-day return policy if you want.

It's hard to tell whether that's backlight bleeding or the viewing angle. It looks like you took the picture up close, in which case the viewing angle will wash out the corners. Try taking a picture from six feet away, and hold the camera steady.
