Just got a 2001fp...sigh...

MY GOD! I count no dead pixels, running at 1280x1024, not sure if my GF2MX400 can support 1600x1200. VERY VERY NICE. Also, there is even backlighting and no leakage. I see the screen door effect, but meh, what can you do? Its bad at all though. Colors are alot more vibrant compared to my M782!

What is this 2001fp? im assuming its some 20+" LCD that is popular...i've been away from forums for awhile.

Hey i am looking into this monitor, does gaming look good with the 1280 resolution??? I heard if it is not native resolution most monitors look like shit

it does gaming at 800x600 well in W:ET. I run desktop in 12x10, and its fine...

I like running my 2001fp @ 1600x1200 as much as the next guy, but running non-native resolutions are sometimes a necessary evil when playing FarCry with all the eye-candy turned on (I have a AIW 9800 Pro). Still looks great at 1280x960.

you do realize that sometimes the graphics cards cant handle 16x12? but the monitor handles 12x10 just as well?

I have to apologize, it has been around 5 years (and I counted them) since I have personally used a card that could not do 1600x1200. But then again, I saw no reference to games, which of course would have to run at a lower resolution- on any card that's on the shelf now, for many current games. But for desktop usage, yes, that's stupidity.

What are the native resolutions for the 2001fp? Is it ONLY 1600x1200? Even with this monitor it seems a little small on the desktop. Doable though.
