I work at Best Buy and got this card for $200. It's great and all, but I'm not sure if it is worth it. My CPU is only an Athlon 2400+ running at 2120MHz with 163 FSB. How long will this last me? Should I keep it or return it and go back to my Geforce 4 which ran Doom 3 at 800*600 Medium. I can now run Doom 3 at 1280*1024 at high quality, the BFG card also comes with Far Cry.

How much can I get for my Geforce 4 Ti4400 on Ebay?

Thanks

EDIT: This is a BFG 6800 OC, not the GT version. 12 pipes!!

For that price no doubt its worth keeping. Not only is it much faster than your ti4400 but it gives you dx9 as well.

You probabley can't get much for your old card. If I were you I would buy 2 more GTs...sell them ebay...take that profit and put it down for a new cpu/mobo.

But returning a GT when you got it at half price is just plain insane. Sell it some poor fool at least.

How much is our Discount? I work at Best BUy also... My co-workers said we dont get much $$ off.. mainly get alot off on the PSP, and PRP's

I have the same card and love it. No way in hell would I return it for any reason.

How did you manage it at $200. Can you get more at that price? I say sell yours on ebay for more, rinse and repeat. Then get a GT....

6800 OC. Ya, you bought it for $100 cheaper than it normally is. I'd keep that card like a mofo, buy 10 more and sell them on ebay for $325. Hit up the bank for a loan if you have to.

The card probaby will get you further along, if the processor wasn't hold it back.
