Just picked up the VisionTek 4850 from Best Buy, couldn't help it. But few changes I noticed, wanted to see if anyone else has the same experience.
I switched from a 7900GT and immediately noticed in Team Fortress 2 the menu boxes are a way lighter gray color. Also in the options the video settings were set to different recommendations ( Valve puts the little * next to them), but that's probably no biggie.
I didn't bother with the fan control switch yet. I was playing TF2 before for like half hour and it never went above 80C so I'm not too concerned.
Overall I've got this sense that the images are "brighter" with no change to in-game settings. And I didn't see anything in the catalyst control center. I'm running 8.9 and was thinking of going 8.8 to see if there's a change.
