A buddy of mine is rebuilding his pc and he let me borrow his GT's to test on my Corsair 600t case with 1 x 240mm watercooling. I replaced the 120mm rear exit fan(stock corsair) as well as the stock fans that came with my swiftech kit and all I can say is wow. The GT's on full speed(1850rpm) are quieter than the old setup on the lowest setting with the corsairs built in fan controller. I'm amazed at these so I'm going to buy my own set!

good luck, they are discontinued. oh and they aren't the "Ultra High Speed" fans, there are 5400RPM GTs :p
 
Also, Gentle Typhoons don't have great static pressure, so probably not the best option for you anyway. Quiet? Sure. Working well? Debatable. Fine for case fans, not a great choice for radiator fans.
 
I thought the Gentle Typhoons had really good static pressure. They are good fans regardless of whether they're being used as radiator or case fans. The Gentle Typhoon is in fact a popular choice among many water cooling enthusiasts.

I'm thinking my "non fan knowledge" lingo has confused some. If these aren't good fans, then I guess it goes against alot of people's beliefs..
 
Had 6x GTs on my RX360 radiator when I used to watercool, The amount of airflow they moved was just INSANE... They did make some noise (I had 1850rpms) but it wasn't distracting / super noticeable.
 
I had two of these on my H50. Not as extreme (but they are close) as 86 5.0L fans, but these fans alone made me purchase a fan controller. They sound like a rocket ship on full blast. I can't imagine what those 50+ db would sound like.
 
I went ahead and ordered 3 of the 1850rpm GTs, I am happy with the cooling that theyre giving with my wc setup.
