with the introduction of 2 60 mm processor fans taken off Zeon's to match an 80 mm vantec stealth output, and an 80 mm silent power supply fan output.

works well. even with AMD's heatsink and thermal paste, my 1.8 ghz duron is now down to 38 degrees at 100% utilization.

it isnt quiet, though. oh well.. it's folding for the [H]orde

It is a compute server, doesn't need IO besides network.

My Duron 1800 is in the mid 30s with a cheap coolermaster CPU cooler and 1 exhaust fan, that's with the fsb set at 144 so it runs at "2ghz" too.

This computer is going in the car. when i'm done setting up the car to accept it, that is. till then, it's folding for the horde. when it goes in the car, it'll have a USB optical drive.

I may, however, switch it over to an antec Aria to get an optical drive in there. and make it a bit quieter. (1 120, and 2 80's (vantec stealths) cut in feeding it)

if i REALLY need an optical drive on there, i use daemontools, and send along an iso of whatever i need.

cheap coolermaster cpu cooler is probably still better than the AMD stock cooler i took off my brother's 2800+. (he put on an aero7 blower.)
