2 GB Ram 333MHZ (A bit slow, but 2GB out does the speeds.)
80GB HDD, 200GB HDD Maxtor
DVD Drive 16X
Cd-Rom Standard

Based on that what is your 1-10 rating of a basic system.. Do NOT compare it to Water Cooling with SLI.. Just standard.. Is this a high end computer? Basically I love it, just some feedback would be awsome.
 
6800GT or Ultra or X800XT + DDR400 would escalate to more high-end.....imo anyway.
 
Yes but I mean, my 6600GT beats my friends X800 XT PE because my processor is pretty damn good!
 
but if your friend had the same processor.....it would be a different story.

hmmmmmm... here are my red flags:

- can't burn cd's or dvd's
- i've heard that 2gb of ram can cause some problems in hl2, but that may be my memory acting up
- why get both an 80gb and a 200gb? i'd drop the 80 unless there was something really special about it.
- i would add an extra fan to that, and mod the crap out of it :p but that's just me.
- what case?
- check the specs of that hsf-- not all aerocool hsf's are the same (this goes for other manufacturers too)
 
I mean its a CD-RW I can burn CD's, My 80 GB is a spare from my old system.. Idk the name of my case. Thanks though. :( The Heatsink/Fan was $60, not sure specs, but it was expensive, I assume it is good.

wow, my hsf was $15 and my computer with the 3400+ amd-64 idles around 47 and is about 52 under full load

looks like i have something i need to catch up on: what's the diff. between atx, atx12v, and atx12v v.2.0? :confused:
 
ATX very old school, not much capacity, what there is seriously weighted toward the +5V rail

ATX12V v1.3 more capacity is shifted toward the amps on the +12V rail has an auxillary 4 pin mobo connector (could also be a 1x6 pin, or even a mobo with a normal 4pin molex connection)

ATX12V v2.0 even more capacity for a given wattage class is allocated to the +12V rail
and that rail is split into +12V1 and +12V2 which are independent
in addition the main power connector is 24 pin (4 extra pins over ATX & v1.3)
and the 4 pin aux mobo connector

there are v1.3 hybrids, with more capacity on a single +12V rail and even 24 pin mains
