Was deciding against a pentium 4 2.4c and a barton2500+

I decided on the Barton2500+, mainly becuase it was cheaper, If I went with the p4 2.4c the only motherboard I liked was close to 200bucks! For the AMD the best motherboard I liked was 93 bucks.

Thanks to "Drisler" recommendation in one of my previous posts I went with what he recommended except for the memory.

I got the
DFI Infinity Ultra
Barton2500+ (retail) GOt retail becuase I don't need anyone fishing through my processors.
Thermaltake silient boost (got this becuase of 80mm fan on it).
Mushkin level I, 512x2 DDR3500 ram. Its not level II, but close to it.

Now this will be replacing my AthlonXP 1600+, with PC2100 memory. I'm hoping that it will be at least 50% faster (keeping same radeon9800 video card).

So you guys think I should of went with p4 2.4c? And you think this should be 50% faster then my atlon 1600XP, say after I overclock it to 3200+ speeds.
