First time purchaser of an SSD. I bit on Newegg's C300 128GB SSD Deal for $224.99 minus my $25 off coupon that I got for a first purchase on a new account from them. I got it for $199.
Since I'll be reinstalling the OS from scratch, it will be Windows 7 x64 Pro, and my mainboard is an Asus P5Q Pro. Assuming this is a fresh install, I need to change my SATA mode to AHCI in the BIOS, then just install the OS right? Will Windows 7 handle the rest of the SSD configuration for me? Meaning enabling TRIM and disabling defrag on the drive?
Thanks for any help.
