Just bought a 3007WFP

I just bought a 3008WFP for 1200 from dell outlet. Unfortunately my order has been delayed, which is a load of bullshit since the item is "Certified Refurbished" which would imply the item has been returned to one of their warehouses and is ready to be sold. Something tells me it will not be delivered for another month. I have read so many times in other forums (but all of those products were being made brand new) of people getting screwed like this. I just hope there arent any immediate problems so I dont have to return it for a non-existent replacement.

I'm sorry to hear that your monitor has been delayed. I've had my 3008 for about 3 weeks now. I also got it off of Dell Outlet, but it was not delayed.

Just to boost hope, mine has zero dead pixels and zero backlight bleed. I'm very pleased with it.....hope yours is the same!

Wenty - before the 3008 I had a 3007wfp-hc, which is also a great monitor, but the 3008 has slightly superior picture quality in my opinion....buy hey, you can't beat $715....congrats on awesome purchase and welcome to the 30" club!!!
 
I've had my 3007 a few months now, got it when the deal was real nice

the only thing that pisses me off is sometimes I can hear a faint buzzing sometimes.

What brightness setting are you using on your 3007? 50%?
 
yeah, I also had the crazy buzzing noise as I approached 100% brightness. I would keep it at about %50 and didn't notice any noise.
 
I think later revisions fixed the buzzing. Dell sold a lot of older revisions as refurbished it seems, I actually sent 2 of these monitors back and all the replacements had a faint buzzing sound.
